HOW it Works

  • 1. Vibe Check

    Book a brief consultation call and send in a quick brand application to see if we’re a good working fit.

    We’ll talk to make sure we’re the right fit! We’ll discuss your overall goals, needs, and current struggles in your business.

  • 2. Schedule Your Date

    If you’d like to move forward, you can move ahead with the proposal. You’ll pay either in full, or on the 60/40 payment plan. Then you’ll sign your contract and schedule your project!

    I currently reserve one Two-Week Site Solution spot per month, and also book 4-6 months in advance.

    Once you book your spot, we can begin the 3-week onboarding process!

  • 3. Strategize

    Three weeks before your project start date, we’ll have a brief check-in to go over the overall strategy for your project.

    This gives me a big-picture view of goals that allows me to map out the rest of the journey!

    At this point, you can also select from one of the modern, vibrant, custom-coded template kits from the Sidekick Studio Template Shop.

    Each template has approximately 6 pages and is designed to work for a coach or service-based business (both online and/or in-person).

  • 4. Onboarding

    With the info from your Strategy Session, I build your personalized Notion Client Dashboard. This is where you’ll find all links and everything you need for the entirety of the project.

    I guide you through each onboarding item, with explanations, video walkthroughs, and guided questions. You never feel left on your own through this process - I totally get that building websites is not your area of expertise.

    Your portal is super organized: it is where we’ll do all of our communication. No more hunting through your emails for that important thing you need right now!

    I know you are busy and have a million messages flying at you constantly.

    In an intensive like this, it might be hard for you to keep track of additional messages. I try to streamline everything!

  • 5. Project Kickoff

    All Two-Week Site Solution intensives start with a big kickoff call on the first Wednesday morning of the project!

    We’ll review the results of your Brand Strategy Blueprint as well as your big goals for your site. We’ll go over any of your onboarding forms, copy bullet points and anything else we have to define and clarify before I begin the build process.

    My goal is always to learn as much as I can at the beginning, so you can take a backseat during the site build and focus on your business throughout.

    We’ll spend anywhere from 90-120 minutes on this Project Kickoff call so that hopefully we won’t have to Zoom again until the end of the two weeks!

  • 6. Design Review and Refinements

    Each project is slightly different, but typically we have a Brand Direction review on Day 1, and again at the Homepage Review and Refinements phase at the end of Week 1.

    This gives you the weekend to review the overall site direction and fill out feedback prior to the main site build on the second Monday.

  • 7. Launch and Offboarding

    At the end of the second week, we have a final review and then your site is launched!

    We’ll have an offboarding session with timestamped video walkthroughs that will be embedded on your site, along with documentation; finishing up with a wrap-up Q&A.

    Lastly, you’ll have 30-day unlimited tech support, lifetime access to the password-protected Client Resource Hub, and the opportunity to join the VIP Client Membership, which is a monthly fee-based option to have SmallBiz Sidekick maintain your site for you.

  • Optional: VIP Tier

    If you’ve selected the VIP Tier, your project will be extended by about 1 week. This gives you the option for additional projects and integrations to kick your biz up a notch.

    Those projects also come complete with offboarding videos for how to maintain them, as well as documentation and a separate section in the private Client Resource Hub.

Can I do a site refresh with the Two Week Website?

Absolutely! This package is perfect if you already have the bones of a basic site and just need a visual update and some copy magic.

It’s still important to work through the onboarding process so that I can get a sense of your brand and can design for your unique business, but the process will go super smoothly once we do.

Can I start from scratch?

Definitely. The semi-custom site process is designed to take you from zero to fully-finished site in two weeks.

When you are truly starting out with a clean slate, opportunity for creation abounds — & I’m here for that!

It does mean that the onboarding process will require a lot of attention from you, however. You’ll need to give some vital brain space to the questionnaires that I send. Hopefully, it will be fun to spend that time on your brand 😍

What if I already have web-accessible brand and/or finished copy?

Great! Let me know on our initial call.

Rather than work through the brand strategy blueprint, I’ll collect your brand identity files through the onboarding process.

It will make the build process super smooth!

Can I add additional integrations?

Included in the Two-Week Site Solution is the option to connect certain existing email marketing software (like Mailchimp or Squarespace Email Campaigns) as well as your social media integrations (Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc).

Additionally, we offer a VIP Tier that gives a TON of flexibility to add 1-4 integrations that will boost your business and site performance.

If you have additional integration needs, I recommend checking out custom project options.

Do you design logos?

I do post-logo branding — which means all of the brand work after the logo work (palette, typography, image, and graphic source & edit).

SmallBiz Sidekick is not a graphic design studio, so I cannot create graphics from scratch — though I do have partnerships with graphic designers and would love to make a recommendation!

Do you design in website platforms other than Squarespace?

In the past, I have built in other content management systems (my first website was in Wordpress, which is how I know how challenging it is for upkeep!), but these days I stick to Squarespace.

It is the most user-friendly, and since most of my clients don’t have webmasters that will be running the show once the bulk of my work is done, it is by far the easiest for you to make changes and keep up to date with your business.

Squarespace also makes it easy to keep me on at the Contributor level if you choose to stay on as a VIP Client Member.

And, as a Squarespace Circle Member, I can offer you 20% off your first year of Squarespace!

The Two-Week Site Solution doesn't quite meet my needs - do you do have other packages??

Most definitely.

This package comes with:

  • customized walkthrough videos of your site, and a “sandbox” page for you to play around in and make edits without screwing up your site

  • a post-launch Q&A session

  • 30-days unlimited tech support

  • and forever-access to my password-protected online trove of resources.

You also have the option to sign up for the VIP Client Membership. The VIP Client Membership is only available for projects completed via SmallBiz Sidekick. For $149/month it includes:

  • monthly updates to your site;

  • tracking analytics & Google Search Console for your site and making appropriate monthly adjustments;

  • annual site reviews and recommendations;

  • monthly Zoom office hours and training workshops;

  • a half Design Day per year;

  • plus a 10% discount on all additional services.

It is a completely optional service that is provided to SmallBiz Sidekick clients to take the load off their plates, and you can decide after your project if you’d like to sign up!

What if I have to reschedule?

I understand, life happens!

You can reschedule and select a new start date from my availability calendar with two caveats:

  1. it might create a longer timeline for your project, and

  2. there is a 15% rebooking fee.

If I have to reschedule, I give you a 15% refund!
